Open Face/Source Sandwiches, Notes on

Rough strips of bacon laid out on a futon mattress and then mustard squeezed over it. That's my art project. It's called "Open Source". It means that our world is changing as we speak and no longer resembles the world it was several minutes ago. And this project also speaks to the breakfast sandwich, specifically the "open face" sandwich which has fallen out of favor in the last several years. Why?

Another thing is how I like "open face" sandwiches. Can you even call them sandwiches if they are "open face"? I don't know the answer and I don't want to know. I do know that this morning I had an open face with 2 fried eggs on toast splattered with Louisiana and habanero sauce. I paired it with a cup of coffee. Then I was out the door on the bike with short sleeves. I went down and voted and that was cool. Now I am limp like a piece of spinach that has been sitting in ranch dressing for too long. I wanna go home and turn on the TV and drink beer and watch Obama become our next president.
