The view from here is breathtaking. I see that now. Dizzying. Looking up all those floors/feet, I have admittedly lost a little nerve. My intention was to jump--I swear. We discussed it over the phone. You tried to talk my out of it to no avail.
This morning I hopped on my bike and sped through the cold urban wind with one thing on my mind: to jump. I even gave my bike to a homeless person when I arrived on the scene. But now, looking up, I don't think I can do it. How could anyone? It's way too tall. I'd never make it.
