My Band

My band is called Bacon Double Drug Use. It's basically just me and my dorm-mate Leo. We usually come up with stuff from jamming in our room. Sometimes Bullthorn, my girlfriend, likes to hang out and listen. Sometimes she joins in with a shaker or with some background harmonies. She has a really cool low voice - you can tell she smokes a hell of a lot. Yeah, she hangs out more or less in the nude. Except for the socks. It's a peculiar thing but it's just a relaxation thing. Says she likes the way it feels. And hey, who could argue. Feels great. But I like my gear - just a loose t-shirt and some loose running pants. No socks. I like to feel that dorm carpet between my long, strong toes. I tap my feet and feel like I'm connected to the earth more than if I wear my shoes. I love my shoes though - just not when Leo and I - and sometimes Bullthorn - are jamming.

So, the big question. What do we sound like? We've got a lot of different kinds of influences but I guess what I hear most is a cross between Senior Fudge with The Language Kings. Except that our music is all stripped down. In Bullthorn's case, literally stripped down. Chillin'. Feelin' it. Etc.

My first band was called the Brain Babies and Leo's first band was The Wooden Cars. Bullthorn never was in any band. She's still not officially. But she is sort of our mascot. Plus, she has the access to the drugs. Nothing heavy, just weed. But this is internet weed. Stuff grown via USB mini-lamps and genetically monkeyed with by some serious geniuses. It gets us mellow like how we like it. The other "drug" most usually is just beer. Light beer so it doesn't weigh you down and so you can just go. We call it goin' tubin' which, coincidentally, is the name of the first song we wrote together.

It's a laugh.
