Humdinger

I was standing in my backyard this afternoon, playing fetch with my dog, enjoying the warmth of the afternoon sun, when a hummingbird floated in front of me, and hovered - its green feathers shone like fish scales and its wings vaporized into a cloud of green. Its red and white throat looked like a strawberry dipped in whipped cream and its eyes were like beads of black glass.

I held out my hand and it landed there, looking up at me. I waited a few seconds and then popped it whole into my mouth and swallowed. It tasted like Led Zeppelin's "Houses of the Holy." If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend it.
